Research Trends in Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Physics (IJPAP) for the Year 2009 – 2012

The present study aims to explore research trends in Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Physics (IJPAP). The study has been conducted with 546 contributions published in the journal selected four years for a period between January, 2009 and December 2012. In this research paper, an attempt is made to analyze and discuss the each article, year wise distribution of contributions and number of authorship, volume wise authorship, author’s productivity and the single and multi-authored papers of the journal. The findings of the results revealed that the maximum number of contributions i.e., 149 (27.29 %) were published in the year 2012 whereas the minimum number of 121 (22.17 %) was published in the year 2011. The highest number of author productivity i.e., 420 (6.56) were published in the year 2010. The degree of collaboration ranges from 0.90 to 0.92 and the average degree of collaboration is 0.915. The average length of the articles varied from a minimum of 6.31 pages in the year 2012 to a maximum of 7.08 pages in the year 2011.
