Asian Review of Social Sciences (ARSS) requires the author(s), or another lawful copyright holder where applicable, to complete an Author Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement after manuscript acceptance and before publication. The agreement operates together with the ARSS Copyright & Licensing Policy and Open Access Policy. Authors should also review the Submit Manuscript page for the wider acceptance-to-publication workflow.

The transfer and assignment of copyright to the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) takes effect upon publication of the article. Copyright transfer is a condition of publication except where the work is in the public domain or includes third-party material reproduced with appropriate permission.

Upon publication, CRI becomes the copyright holder of the published Version of Record and holds the rights necessary to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, index, disseminate and protect the article in accordance with ARSS policies. Author Scholarly Reuse and Repository Rights

Authors retain the scholarly reuse and repository rights expressly permitted under ARSS policies. Authors may deposit and share the published Version of Record on personal or institutional websites and in appropriate scholarly repositories for non-commercial purposes, provided that all of the following conditions are met:

  • The published article remains unchanged.
  • The complete citation and DOI or permanent link to the original publication are provided.
  • The original CRI copyright notice is retained.
  • The applicable CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence is clearly displayed.
  • The original ARSS publication is appropriately acknowledged.

The Open Access Policy provides the related repository and access framework for submitted manuscripts, accepted manuscripts and the published Version of Record.

Creative Commons Licence

All published ARSS articles are made immediately and permanently available as Gold Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Under this licence, users may copy and redistribute the unchanged published article in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes with appropriate credit.

Commercial use and distribution of modified, adapted, translated or derivative versions are not permitted without additional permission from the relevant copyright holder. The journal’s Copyright & Licensing Policy contains the complete ARSS explanation of these terms.

How to Submit the Form

A scanned copy of the completed and duly signed ARSS Author Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement may be sent to the editorial office at editorial@crijournals.org after acceptance and before publication. Authors may also use the ARSS Contact page for journal contact information.
