Revenue Sources Statement

Asian Review of Social Sciences (ARSS) is published by the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) and follows a Gold Open Access publishing model. ARSS discloses its principal revenue and financial-support arrangements so authors and readers can understand how publication activities are supported.

1. Article Processing Charges

ARSS currently receives APCs from authors of accepted articles. The stated APC is INR 3,000 for authors based in India and USD 50 for authors based outside India. No manuscript submission fee is charged, and APCs are requested only after editorial acceptance following peer review. Current details are published on the ARSS APC and Waivers page.

Subscription charges may apply to the printed version of ARSS. Electronic articles remain freely accessible through the Gold Open Access model. Print subscription information is available on the ARSS Print Subscription page.

3. Publisher and Organisational Support

CRI provides editorial administration, production, hosting, archiving, preservation, dissemination and other publishing support for ARSS. CRI is a scholarly publishing unit of The Bharath Social and Research Foundation, a non-profit organisation.

4. Advertising Revenue

ARSS does not currently publish commercial advertisements and therefore does not currently rely on commercial advertising revenue. See the ARSS Advertising Policy.

5. Editorial Independence

Revenue sources are kept separate from editorial decision-making. APC payment or non-payment, waiver/discount status, print subscription revenue, publisher support, advertising, sponsorship, marketing activity or other financial considerations do not influence editorial assessment, reviewer selection, peer review, acceptance, rejection, correction or retraction decisions.

6. Fee Transparency

ARSS publishes current APCs, waiver/discount conditions, refund arrangements and confirmation that no submission fee is charged before manuscript submission. Any new author-facing charge or material change to the revenue model should be disclosed before it applies.

7. Disclosure of Material Changes

If ARSS introduces a new material revenue source, sponsorship arrangement, advertising model, institutional subsidy or author-facing charge, the journal should update this statement and the relevant fee/advertising policy before the change applies. Financial arrangements will remain separate from editorial decision-making.
